High Precision GPS Navigation for Loading Tools

Leica J²dragline is Leica Geosystems' latest high-precision GPS navigation system for loaders, excavators and shovels. Leica J²dragline fully integrates with Leica Jigsaw, a highly advanced mine management solution. Featuring leading-edge technologies, Leica J²dragline optimises productivity; monitors production; reports on key performance indicators (KPIs); eliminates the need for grade staking, and reduces operation costs.

With accurate navigation to the teeth of the bucket, Leica J²dragline improves ore control, bench elevation control, and decreases labor and rework. The system also includes ore navigation and automatically identifies materials from grade block models. Leica J²dragline helps to reduce the chance of accidental operator error and ensures that results are efficient and match the design plan.

Real-time feedback:

• Cut/fill/grade screens—to show operators what’s required to cut or fill to grade
• Dual surfaces onscreen—design and working surfaces are displayed simultaneously
• Productivity statistics—full statistics are shown including material moved
• Hatch views—show operators the current working surface compared to the design surface
• Real-time information that can be used to avoid queue and hang times
• Display information to the operator with regards to trucks assigned and the ETA of the next truck, and trucks in queue intended destinations 

Awareness:

• Provide safety and production information
• Accurate delay detection for detailed analysis of lost time, thus improving excavator and shovel tool utilisation
• Provide diagnostic information such as position quality, health of individual machine sensors, and communications
